The Furnace

I awaken and I am greeted. The cold steel frame smiles at me. Quietly, it whispers “the rain has gone.” I wonder if the rain has ended. At the top of the stairs the door opens. The Clouds of Terror

When the clouds of terror began to rain, Only a few of the innocent survived. The floodwaters of agony and death filled each void That once proved safe in the monument of freedom.
